Billed for Months at Premium for a Basic Account

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I wonder if anyone else has had the experience of receiving bills for Premium on a basic account. It's actually worse than that...

  1. I upgraded to a pay account not long after signing up for Evernote years ago (December 13, 2009), not long after they first got started.
  2. Somehow, it morphed into getting billed for a premium account when they went to three tiers (I found out later).
  3. Somewhere along the way, I started getting idiot pop-up ads during my normal use. I am very busy, so I just clicked through most of them, while wondering in the back of my mind what had happened to Evernote, because it was never like that before.
  4. Then I realized that these ads were for basic users, and I checked my account to find that I was "basic," though I wanted premium... but I was getting billed monthly for Premium.
  5. I checked my purchase history, and sure enough, I found I was paying for Premium for MONTHS, while only receiving basic benefits.
  6. I entered a ticket a few weeks ago.
  7. No response.
  8. I entered a ticket AND called them today.
  9. We'll see what happens.

I don't want to cancel my payment method yet, because I would like a refund for the incorrect billing, I have only a few days until the next billing cycle, and if I don't hear from them by then, I may just have to cancel for good.

If anyone has a better idea on how to resolve this, I'm all ears. It is not an iTunes thing. I signed up for Evernote direct. Not sure Evernote was even available in App Store back when I signed up. All my updates come through when I open the App.

Thanks...

Hi.  Chances are you're logged into the wrong account.  Clearly you need to talk to Evernote to try and resolve this.  Please post your ticket number here and we'll flag your post for an Admin to have a look at...

I'm having an agent look into this now and we will get you sorted. I'm also checking into why our system did not route your ticket appropriately, apologies on not receiving a reply from support.

LOL, no, I only have one account. I build my own Windows machines and service my own MACs, too. I know what's on them, where they've logged in, and who logs in with them. I've done some silly stuff, but logging into the wrong Evernote account is not one of them.  :)

OK, as of right now, I am showing Premium again (Yay!) and I am also noticing a new billing date for the next charge. Things are coming along. Thank you again for getting involved!
