Why does my Evernote quit?

Please can someone advise me?

 

Whenever I try to call up Evernote from my MacBook Air apps, it produces the following message:

 

The last time you opened Evernote, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?

 

Whatever I do -- reopen windows or cancel -- Evernote does not open. Instead, for the past few months, I have to rely on the Evernote website. But it works perfectly on my iPad and iPhone.

 

What should I do before going completely insane?

Hi.  Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on your device?  It has gone through several updates recently - it's best to download the latest version from Evernote.com.
