Is there any way to recover a 'lost' note?

Its not in 'trash'.   Had a note, had worked quite hard on it.  It 'disappeared'.  You can laugh if you want.  I'm not sure how/why it happened. I was actually working on it on the Windows phone.  Pressed sync there, then sync on the pc, and it didn't sync.  Went back to the phone, could not find it.

Anywhere to look besides 'trash'?  Any extraordinary measures to take to recover?

Thanks!

I had the same "scary" loss of a note yesterday and now cannot find the content. This is what happened. 1) I clicked on the note folder to add a note. 2) When it opened the content had disappeared. 3) I then checked on another device and a sync had taken place so the content was also missing there. 4) I checked on my smart phone and the content was still there to my relief. 5) Before I could record the content, a sync activated and the content also disappeared from my smartphone. 6) I looked in TRASH and the note was not there. 7) the original note folder is still in Evernote, but the content has vanished. HELP PLEASE.

The first rule of lost data is:  kill the sync function.  You may be able to get something back from another device as long as you can preserve it long enough.  The second rule is - try Undo;  and the Trash and Conflicting Changes notebooks (if you have them).  After that..  note contents may be locked into temporary memory on the device you're using,  but that's specialist knowledge and requires some technical poking around.  If you do lose data it's always worth reporting it,  but the quickest workaround/ fix is:  get as much recreated as you can from other sources/ memory before the recollection fades.  You may still find the original somewhere,  but it's a useful exercise..

You won't necessarily get any follow-up to a lost data report,  but it does mean that the devs will take a look at your situation and (maybe) fix for in a future release...
