Kingdaddy 0
Versions: iOS 8.4, most current version of Evernote.I'm at a conference, where I have created a single note for capturing my notes on sessions. The note contains text only. I scrolled back to the top of the note, where I start adding text before my previous notes. In the middle of entering and formatting this new text, I realized that most of the text that I entered just a few minutes earlier in this new section had disappeared. I had not highlighted it, so this was not a case of accidental type-over. Whatever the cause, I tried to undo. Evernote undid my most recent typing, up to just a couple of lines worth of text. However, the deleted text did not reappear, no matter how many times I pressed Undo. The problem happened a second time, again without having highlighted any text prior to it disappearing.I'm now at a point where I can't trust Evernote, on which I rely greatly. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment
Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,115 Posted August 4, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted August 4, 2015 If this is repeatable, please submit a bug report. I recommend that everyone who experiences a bug to submit a bug report. This will make sure that Evernote is aware of the issue, provide your environment data to help identify/fix the issue, and put more pressure on Evernote to fix. Submit a BUG report via an EN Support Ticket. In the Support Form, select "Report a bug", and start the Ticket Title with "BUG: " to make it clear. Reporting a bug should be available to all users, including Free Account owners. Other Ticket types available to Free users are "Data Loss", "Crash", & "Sync Issue". Link to comment

Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,115 Posted August 5, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted August 5, 2015 Evernote does not share their bug reporting system, so I have no idea.I have not seen any reports here, but that is not conclusive. You might do a google search on "evernote ios lost text" or similar. EvernoteSteven 0
This is also affecting me, on Mac, running v6.0.16. When I try to type into an existing note, the text ahead is first highlighted, then overwritten. This only happens when I try to type midway through a sentence or at the beginning - if I type at the end of the line, no problems. Link to comment
Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,115 Posted August 12, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted August 12, 2015 @EvernoteSteven:You are posting in an EN iOS thread. It is generally best to post in the forum for your device. In your case it would be the Mac Help forum. This is a known bug for Mac OS X Lion users, and a fix is in progress.See Evernote for Mac 6.0.16 Released and EN Mac 6.1 Beta Link to comment
