I have the impression that Evernote Web Clipper is affecting negatively the performance of Safari. Since I installed Evernote Web Clipper I found that if I press the button to return to the previous page in Safari, it does return to the previous page, but this page doesn’t open; it is necessary either to return pages several times or to reinitiate Safari. I never had this problem prior to the installation of Evernote Web Clipper.
