Export notes from This date to That date.

Is there a way to export your notes from a notebook limited to a certain date range?

I would like to weekly export my notes from M-F to share with someone who does not use Evernote.

Currently, it appears the only export option is one at a time, or all at once.

  1. do an all notes search for the date range you want, for this week it would be created:20150720 -created:20150725,
  2. click on any note in the resultant list,
  3. hit Ctrl-A to select all the notes,
  4. right click and select export.  Not sure what format to use to export if your friend doesn't use EN?

You can keep the tags for the notes but If the notes are in different notebooks you will lose the notebook information.  FWIW.

Since this thread is in the General Discussions area, just in case there are any Mac users lurking,

you can set the date range in EN Mac using the Descriptive Search language:

Type the text in green in the Search box:

This Week:    notes created this week

Last 5 days:  notes created the last 5 days

After you type that in the Search box, there will be a drop down to pick/choose.

In your specific case, you might also use a relative query:  created:week

The advantage is that you can save this query once and add it to your shortcuts.

" Relative Date Arguments

Relative date arguments are evaluated based on the client's notion of the beginning of the current "day", "week", "month", or "year". They may include an integer delta to indicate a previous day/week/month/year instead of the current one. If no delta is provided, the argument evaluates the the beginning of the current day/week/month/year. The following examples show how each expression would be evaluated by a client with a local date and time of: Wednesday, 31 October 2007, 13:30:56

  • day - would evaluate to: Wednesday, 31 October 2007, 00:00:00
  • day-1 - would evaluate to: Tuesday, 30 October 2007, 00:00:00
  • day-14 - would evaluate to: Wednesday, 17 October 2007, 00:00:00
  • week - would evaluate to: Sunday, 28 October 2007, 00:00:00
  • week-2 - would evaluate to: Sunday, 14 October 2007, 00:00:00
  • month - would evaluate to: Monday, 1 October 2007, 00:00:00
  • month-1 - would evaluate to: Monday, 1 September 2007, 00:00:00
  • year - would evaluate to: Monday, 1 January 2007, 00:00:00
  • year-1 - would evaluate to: Sunday, 1 January 2006, 00:00:00
