ScottLougheed 1,316
Here are some Format commands I do not see what is the differenceStyle - Highlight Simplify FormattingMake Plain TextStyle - Highlight:Adds a yellow highlight to the selected text. Simplify FormattingThis will "convert an entire note into a default font size, font color, and line spacing while retaining basic rich text formatting (bold, italics, underline, hyperlinks, and bullet points)." (https://evernote.com/evernote/guide/windows/#3) This might produce no difference on notes you compose entirely in Evernote. However, if you were to apply this to a web clipping or, say, copy and paste this forum thread into a note, then "Simply formatting" on that, you'd see a dramatic difference. Make Plan TextThis does exactly what it says it does. It strips all formatting from the text and makes it truly, honest to goodness plain text (Wikipedia link). This has no formatting whatsoever and can be copied easily into .txt files, for example. Three very different formatting options, if you ask me. Link to comment
Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,119 Posted July 24, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted July 24, 2015 Simplify FormattingThis will "convert an entire note into a default font size, font color, and line spacing while retaining basic rich text formatting (bold, italics, underline, hyperlinks, and bullet points)." (https://evernote.com/evernote/guide/windows/#3) One minor correction: The Simplify Formatting feature can now be applied ONLY to a selection in the Note body.At least that is how it is currently working in EN Mac 6.0.11+I'm not sure if the latest EN Win version as been updated for this or not.
