Who is the best Evernote vs Onenote ?

It's a moving target.  It seems like every week I see some One Note update adding new features.

There are two major shortcomings of One Note that prevent me from using it:

  1. Tags
    1. Unable to create/assign custom tags to a Note
    2. Can't search for tags in the ON Mac version
  2. Web Clipper
    1. EN clipper is still far superior

Here are two reviews that provide an interesting insight:

  1. 7 things Microsoft OneNote does that Evernote can't
  2. 6 things Evernote does that Microsoft OneNote can't

A google search of "evernote vs onenote" will give you a lot more info.

Thank you so much for your help. You know who i can find some business use case for Evernote on Onenote. I would like to make a comparison of these 2 tools in a context much deeper and see in what context one and more suitable than the other

You know who i can find some business use case for Evernote on Onenote.

IMO, the business case for both is weak.  They are both very good personal productivity tools, or PIMs (Personal Information Manager) as I call them, but not so much for business.

Neither of them have

  1. strong collaboration tools
  2. Project/Task management

If you want to try to find business use cases, then I'd suggest using Google.

You might be able to make a case for a library of sorts, or applications that are somewhat static in editing. The more dynamic the data to be shared and modified the more problematic EN can become, IMO. But a great tool for loading a bunch of stuff and finding it easily.

On the other hand very easy to build personal use cases.

For my usage they are about the same. Both have a total disdain of text containing tabs. OneNote assumes you want it in a table making it hard to edit, and

EN just ignores them.

Thanks you so much for you advice. In find something for EN on this official blog, but for OneNote is more complicated
