import enex missed tags. how do i merge them now?

I imported but the default was set to no tags (easy to miss the tiny checkbox).

 

now i've added new work and updated some old notes.

 

can i reimport just the tags or merge things somehow?

If you haven't export with tags there are no tags in the enex.

 

When you export with tags you can choose not to import the tags

I think the best you can hope for, IF the tags were included in the ENEX export, is to

1. import the ENEX into a different Notebook
2. Assign a tag, like "Imported", to both sets of Notes
3. Filter by this tag
4. Sort by Title
5. Copy the tags from the Notes of new import to the original import, one note at a time.

If you have a large number of Notes to do this to (like thousands), then it might be worth the effort to write an AppleScript to copy the tags.
