(Archived) Why does web clip from Safari not bring page as is?

When I do a web clip using the clip icon in Safari, I get the content of the page garbled in not so useful ways.

I had expected to have the page show up as is, then be able to enter some notes to go along with why I was clipping it. But it seems to be reformating the page with some, but not all of the information. Then to edit what it does create is not so easy either.

If you want to preserve the exact formatting of the page from the web browser, hold the Shift key as you press our clipper button in Safari. This will create a PDF of the page.

If you clip normally, we'll add the content so that you can edit it, but this does not try to preserve the exact layout (and dynamic behavior) of your web browser.
