Kwitel 9 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I am trying to get my dad to start using EN. Ive seen a number on Youtube; was wondering what people thought were the best instructional videos on how to learn EN?
Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,119 Posted June 18, 2015 Level 5* Posted June 18, 2015 I'm sure you'll get some good suggestions here, but this might be a great question for the relatively new Evernote support on Twitter. Since Evernote now is providing official support to all users via Twitter, you might post your request on Twitter @evernotehelps. It might also be good to include a link back to your post here.
Level 5* gazumped 12,215 Posted June 18, 2015 Level 5* Posted June 18, 2015 Hmmn. Try Steve Dotto - he's got a lot of content on Evernote and he's a (former?) TV presenter so it's professional and to the point. http://www.dottotech.com/ https://www.youtube.com/user/dottotech
Frank.dg 1,385 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Maybe one of the dozens of good books out there? They are really informative and more to the point. You could start with one of the books in Evernote's store, written by independent users. Brett Kelly has a nice one up there.
Morticia 193 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 I've using this (not video) when I'm learn other Evernote All os is represented, the difference between them and the what's same. Getting Started with Evernotehttps://evernote.com/evernote/guide

The problem with Evernote books in general is that they are out of date the day after they are published. In particular, there have been so many UI changes on all platforms, that they could be more confusing for a new user who may not be fully computer literate. The first time the actual software UI doesn't exactly match the UI in the book the new user could be come very discouraged. IMO, the eBook by Brett Kelly is terrible. I bought the first edition, overpaid $25 for it, and thought it was poorly written, poorly organized, and didn't really add that much technical content over the Evernote documentation/videos.
Frank.dg 1,385 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 Fair enough... But did you know that if you paid for the 1st edition, you get all Brett Kelly's subsequent editions free? I think the book has come a way since that first edition. Substantially more information. Perhaps not as technical as here in the forums... but then again, that comes with troubleshooting.
