steven_noble 2 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 When I use the Web Clipper to turn an online PDF into a note with the PDF attached, the resulting note uses the PDF's filename as its name. It should do something like this to grab the PDF's actual internal title and use that as the title: https://www.docear.org/software/add-ons/docears-pdf-inspector/
RobertJSawyer 167 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I could see extracting the title from the file's metadata, if present, but the utility you point to says it has, "good accuracy (~70%)." Unless there's a much more accurate way to accomplish this, I very much doubt we'll see it adopted. Three out of every ten documents ending up with the wrong note title is an unacceptably high error rate for most users, and an invitation for numerous support requests.
