Spelling and Grammar preferences cannot find

Where are the preferences for Spelling and Grammar ? I see it in the context menu only.

I would like to control which entries to auto correct and expand.

I know there are some in Yosemite preferences but EN seems to replace many more words

If I disable spelling in EN, but not in Yosemite, which will take precedence ?
