Synchronised Notebook limit

mikeq

Idea

I reached the 250 limit on synchronised notebooks, so I deleted a stack with 4 synchronised notebooks.

I made sure Evernote on my iPad and iPhone were synchronised just in case this had an effect.

Its still telling me I have reached the limit of 250 notebooks.

I also tried creating a local notebook and dragging the notes from the synchronised notebook to the local notebook and then deleting the synchronised notebook, but this does not allow me to add a new synchronised notebook.

Hi.  Check that your Trash Notebook is empty (on all the devices that have one) and check that your account is below 250 notebooks via Evernote Web (there's Trash there too...).  If so,  try adding your new notebook in EN Web and syncing back to your other devices.

Many thanks for your post.. zapped the Evernote Trash folder.. still not luck..  How do I do what you suggested? " ...and check that your account is below 250 notebooks via Evernote Web"

And the strange thing is, it lets me add a new notebook on the Web interface, but not a synchronised one on my local machine.  Have deleted all the trash boxes on mobile devices, but no joy.

Hi.  Clearly you checked your EN Web Trash by logging in here in a desktop (or tablet?) browser - https://www.evernote.com/Login.action?targetUrl=%2FHome.action

You must have a list of notebooks,  tags etc on the left hand side,  so you're presumably able to check that what's shown on the web is the same as your now less-than-250 setup on EN desktop.

If that's the case,  and you're able to add (but not sync) a new notebook on the web version,  then maybe what you're seeing is a sync problem..

Evernote has some thoughts on those here - https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/23168822

Hi, thanks for your response.

Here are the key issues:

1. I cannot add a new synchronised notebook in the desktop application because it reports the 250 limit reached.  (I've deleted all trash boxes on all devices)

2. I can add a new notebook via the web interface, which syncs with my desktop no problem. ( I assume a notebook posted on the Web interface is a synched notebook?)

3. I do not know how to count the number of notebooks on the web interface - other than doing this manually. I am surprised there is not an easy way to do this, give how critical this number is.

I suspect my desktop has less than 250 synched notebooks, but that Evernote thinks it has.
