pzs 2
Hi, My problem is that the desktop client doesn't find relevant notes. I search for word "literal" and it shows only 1 result however Web client and Android client shows more (actually all 4 of them). Desktop client shows only one which was created last year, but doesn't show the other 3 which are more recent.Do you have any idea what the problem could be? How can it be solved? Thanks in advance,zs. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 10,331 Posted April 14, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted April 14, 2015 OK - before you go any further please backup the databases folder which should be at C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Evernote\Evernote\Databases - zip or copy it to your desktop. Now. With Evernote running, press and hold Ctrl and click help. You'll see a longer than usual help menu, including Recreate Full Text Search Index. That can take some time, and may or may not help; but if the search difference is a problem, then it's worth a try. The second option - if that doesn't work (and provided you have no local notebooks or unsynced notes) - is to File > Exit Evernote and rename the databases folder (to databases.old) then restart Evernote. Your database (and the index) will be recreated from the server. Again, takes a bit of time if you have lots of notes. Link to comment
