Evernote won't let me create a table inside a bulleted list item. I've been able to do this since forever, but now the button is grayed out for this context. Focus the cursor in a list, the button is disabled. Focus the cursor outside the list, the button becomes active. I can, however, paste a table into the list item, so it's not a matter of the application no longer supporting this functionality.
