"you can't open the application Evernote because it may be damaged or incomplete"

I restarted my computer and got this message when trying to open Evernote. What happened and how to I fix this without losing my notes? This only happened on my MacBook Air.  Fortunately the app and my notes are still on my iphone but I can't print from it.

Your Notes should be fine.

Just move the Evernote.app to Mac Trash, and redownload/reinstall Evernote Mac from you original install source (Evernote.com or Mac App Store)
