Dong 0
Hi On Wikipedia, there is a contents section towards the top of each article where you can click on title link and it straight away directs you to that part of the content below. Does anyone know if this is possible on Evernote (so as in a content list on top that links to various sections below for quick access)? Many thanks Dong Link to comment
Frank.dg 1,385
Not as you're describing, @Dong... but if one breaks down long notes into separate notes and tags them accordingly, one is able to use note links in Evernote to link to other notes. Same difference if you have a notebook or tag context in which to group a set of notes. From there, one can enter into presentation mode (premium) and/ or simply flip through notes in the note list, as if it were one long run-on document. It's a matter of perspective. Another neat little feature that Evernote has is the ability to create a Table of Contents note from a set of any notes you choose. This TOC will link to those individual notes. You can also use the back arrows, whether on desktop or mobile to navigate back and forth between notes after you have clicked on any links. Link to comment
Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,118 Posted April 8, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted April 8, 2015 All good work-arounds, Frank, but none as effective as actually having HTML-style bookmarks within the same Note. Bookmarks combined with collapsable sections would be very powerful within the same Note. Link to comment
DutchPete 247
Yes, but while these types of bookmarks are not supported in EN, a workaround is still better than nothing. Dong can decide for him/herself whether the workaround is worthwhile. All good work-arounds, Frank, but none as effective as actually having HTML-style bookmarks within the same Note. Dong 0
Thanks all. And just to check - I understand what Frank described is only possible in Desktop Evernote for Windows/Mac? If I sent other people a weblink to the Table of contents, would they be able to access each title content simply through the webpage? Link to comment
