I have thousands of files i about 6 folders of names like gg, tt, and such. If you grep into those files, there is mention of EN in many of them, they are just XML header files that seem to serve no real purpose. Apparently the OS cleans older than 3 days files on it's own. What is interesting is run lsof on /var/folders and see how many files and descriptors it has open. I had almost 1000, 900+ though.

I read a little explored some source code, this is the best article i could find on it: http://blog.magnusviri.com/what-is-var-folders.html
I am nuking it now and see if my machine speeds up in general.
Any idea why EN must put so much stuff in there?
