Too many uploads

Hi. I've been enjoying the free Evernote for quite a while now - but I am having one big problem. Everything I do is getting copied to Evernote. I only want specific things to be copied. Can someone tell me where I can change these settings? I should know this by now - but I don't.

If you are using a desktop version, create a local notebook and move the notes you don't want synced (copied) to Evernote.  Buyer beware, you won't be able to see these notes on your phone/tablet and you will need to back that notebook up yourself since it will not be synced to Evernote's servers.

 

If you are using a phone/tablet everything will get synced (copied) to Evernote no matter what.
