Evernote won't let me assign tags to notes within a notebook...

I have created three tags (marketing strategy, conversion, and social media) and Evernote will only let me use the tag "marketing strategy" on all of my notes. This is the error screen that pops up anytime I try assigning a different tag onto a note: 

 

 

 

I've tried numerous ways to add the other two tags to the notebook and notes and it will not let me. If you have any advice, please let me know!

This might be due to the Notebook being a Shared Notebook that  you have joined.

Only the owner of a NB can assign NEW tags to Notes within that NB.
