RobertJSawyer 167
I just submitted a support ticket for this (#1001393): If you go to tag a note in the Windows client and type, say, W, the client suggests tags for which the first (or only) word in the tag's name begins with W. But if you type W in the classic Web client, the client offers tags for which any word in the tags name begins with W. Windows offers me:Washington TripWinnipegWordStarWeb (Classic) offers me:Small WorldWashington TripWinnipegWordStar Likewise, in Windows, starting to type T would not lead to the tag "Washington Trip" being offered, but with the Web client, it would.I don't know which method is better, but it seems to me it should be consistent across platforms. Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,118 Posted March 28, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted March 28, 2015 I can confirm that EN Mac 6.0.7 (Mavericks) works the same way as EN Win.I prefer this incremental-search method (find only Tags that start with the characters being typed). But I agree, whatever method is chosen, it should work the same way across all EN clients. Link to comment
m3rk0rd 0
I prefer the Web (Classic) partial matching method. It works that way on evernote web clipper in Chrome too. The Windows version is actually really frustrating me right now because I can't add tags by typing in letters in the middle of the tag name. Link to comment
