Verification email not arriving

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to change the email address on my evernote account. The new address i'm entering is correct (I've checked carefully) and verification email is not ending up in any spam folders or anywhere else that would be hiding it -- I'm 100% certain it's not getting to my mail server.

Any thoughts on where to start?

Hi. I've tried from work and home. No firewall at either location. I use Macbook Air with Yosemite and an iPhone 6 with iOS 8. I browse with Chrome.

gil@flamingmongrel.net and hello@gilfewster.com are both just aliases which point to a gmail account: gilfer75@gmail.com. I am receiving notificaitons sent to the flamingmongrel.net alias but not to the gilfewster.com alias.

This was a problem 3 years ago,  and never since apparently - what's your OS and Evernote version?

I can't find where the app version is but I just downloaded it last week so it should be pretty new. My OS version is 10.13.3.  The problem has been happening when I send it from the app as well as from the web version.

Hmmn.  The verification email is coming via Evernote webmail,  and some intervening mail daemon may have decided that the originating address sends out too many emails - usually a sign of a spam server,  but obviously not in this case.  Not sure how to get around that - I did suggest the OP raise a support ticket and I think that's the best option here;  you may be able to get them to change your address directly - though it may take a while...
