lost note

Today I updated my note on the pc then I opened the ios app and now I've lost my last update on the pc.

how do I recover it?

Hi.  When you're using two devices like that it's important to sync before you do anything,  otherwise the 'changed' version of the UNaltered note on the second device will be synced with the server,  with a more recent update date that the previous changes you already completed.  Sometimes it's good to work in Word or some other format that keeps local backups,  or can be kept as local backups,  so that you can recapture accidentally lost data.

 

Within Evernote there's not much that can be done except that for Premium subscribers,  Evernote have 'Note History'.  You may be able to 'step back' the content of your note and remove the changed copy,  going back to the longer,  amended version.  If the contents are important it may be worth becoming a subscriber for a month or so,  just to get access to that feature...

ok thx, but if I subscribe after I've lost data, I'll be able to navigate to recover previous or deleted data?

The backing up process happens on all accounts a couple of times a day,  but only premium subscribers have access to it.  If your note had been around for 12 hours or so,  there's a reasonable chance you'll get most of it back,  but it can't be guaranteed,  and you can only check it out if you upgrade to premium.  If you find it doesn't work (or even if it does...) you can just downgrade back to free again within the month.  It may be worth a few dollars to check it out.
