NateBender 0
Hey there Evernote Folks - I would like to re-work how I organize notes in Evernote - is there any way to reset all of my tags and Notebooks, while still keeping all of my existing notes? In an ideal world, the notes would just get grouped tagless into the 'Uncategorized' folder. Is this possible? Cheers for the help, Nate Link to comment

Going from the Windows client, I'd do something like this: Make a new "Uncategorized" notebook, select all of your notes and drag them into that notebook (or select them all and change the notebook in the multi-select panel). Sync. Once that's complete, then delete all of your old empty notebooks. Sync. Select all of your notes, and use Note / Tag... or Ctrl+Alt+T to bring up the "Assign Tags" dialog. Click the "Clear All" button, then OK. Sync. If you have a large number of notes, I'd do it in smaller batches, verifying as I went along. Link to comment

That way if I got confused in the notebook/tag renaming process I would at least have bearings based upon the original notebook for the note. Then delete those "notebook" tags at the end. Not a big deal for a few notes, but could be a problem with many notes. FWIW. Link to comment
