Font rendering problem

Recommended Posts

I only started using Evernote recently, and I'm having a problem with the desktop version where the note text doesn't display properly. It's kind of hard to explain exactly what it's doing in words, so I've included a screenshot here. All of the notes display like this, so it's very difficult to actually read any of them. The text looks just fine in the web version, but I'd really like to be able to use the desktop version, and I haven't been able to find anything via Google that would explain or fix the problem. Does anyone know what's happening here and how I could fix it?

Hi.  That's moderately weird.  Do you have any problem with the display of other apps on your system,  or is it just Evernote?  and what device are you using:  laptop or desktop - running which version of Windows - 7? 8?

Last time I saw text like that one of those 'speed up your system' apps had switched off graphics acceleration or anti-aliasing or some such.  Don't know why such settings would apply only to Evernote though..  have you tried uninstalling / restarting / reinstalling EN Windows?  (Backup your databases folder first,  just for safety...)

After updated to version 5.8.5 on my desktop I see different rendering problem:

The font is blurry and not as sharp as other normal screen.

I am running windows 8.1 on a high res display 1920x1080.

The font displayed in the Evernote version:

The font displayed in the firefox brower window is as follows:

The sharp font on normal browser here:

Looks like Evernote uses the blurry style?

Please help.

Thanks

HB
