devian 0
I only started using Evernote recently, and I'm having a problem with the desktop version where the note text doesn't display properly. It's kind of hard to explain exactly what it's doing in words, so I've included a screenshot here. All of the notes display like this, so it's very difficult to actually read any of them. The text looks just fine in the web version, but I'd really like to be able to use the desktop version, and I haven't been able to find anything via Google that would explain or fix the problem. Does anyone know what's happening here and how I could fix it? Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 11,522 Posted February 23, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted February 23, 2015 Hi. That's moderately weird. Do you have any problem with the display of other apps on your system, or is it just Evernote? and what device are you using: laptop or desktop - running which version of Windows - 7? 8? devian 0
I haven't noticed it with anything but Evernote. I'm on a desktop running Windows 7. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 11,522 Posted February 24, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted February 24, 2015 Last time I saw text like that one of those 'speed up your system' apps had switched off graphics acceleration or anti-aliasing or some such. Don't know why such settings would apply only to Evernote though.. have you tried uninstalling / restarting / reinstalling EN Windows? (Backup your databases folder first, just for safety...) HungBui 0
After updated to version 5.8.5 on my desktop I see different rendering problem: The font is blurry and not as sharp as other normal screen. I am running windows 8.1 on a high res display 1920x1080. The font displayed in the Evernote version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7uynlspiv8wwys2/browser-Capture.PNG?dl=0 The font displayed in the firefox brower window is as follows: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7uynlspiv8wwys2/browser-Capture.PNG?dl=0 The sharp font on normal browser here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fjkq3q6wpxkh1cv/normal-sharp-font-Capture.PNG?dl=0 Looks like Evernote uses the blurry style? Please help. ThanksHB Link to comment

Level 5* gazumped 11,522 Posted July 27, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted July 27, 2015 Not seeing anything on your link, but best suggestion is probably uninstall / reinstall Evernote after backing up your database. Link to comment
Newborn 0
I've got the same problem. Any help here? Link to comment
RobertJSawyer 167
Right-click on shortcut that calls Evernote. Select Properites, then Compatibility, then "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings." Good luck! Link to comment
