'Find within note' only searching images (OCR) and not text

Hi there,

 

I'm running EN 6.0.6 on Yosemite (10.10.2). When using 'Find within note', EN will sometimes only give results found in images within the note (images with text found with OCR) and not typed text within the note.

This can (very occasionally) be worked around by selected the text and then using 'find.'

 

I haven't been able to figure out why sometimes 'find' functions normally and other times as described above.

That is very strange behavior, and the opposite of what I'd expect.

I can imagine how sometimes FIND might not find the text in an image.

But it should always find the text in the text parts of the Note.

 

I have seen reported that sometimes Search and/or Find will not find HTML text that has some strange characters, perhaps not visible, embedded in the text.

 

IAC, if you can find one or more Notes that consistently behave as you describe, then you might want to Submit a BUG report via an EN Support Ticket. In the Support Form, select "Report a bug", and start the Ticket Title with "BUG:  " to make it clear.  Reporting a bug should be available to all users, including Free Account owners.  Other Ticket types available to Free users are "Data Loss", "Crash", & "Sync Issue".

I am having the same behavior on OS X El Capitan with a fresh install last night.
