Deleted Notes remain in Notebook

Since upgrading to 6.0.6 from Apple Store, deleting notes has become a fustration point.  When I delete a note, the note is marked as "deleted" but stays in the folder with an option to "erase note"   Why would any sane person want the delete function to behave this way?   Please tell me this is a bug or a setting that canbe changed.

Deleted Notes are moved to the EN Trash.  It works much like the Mac Trash, providing the user with an opportunity to restore in case of accidental deletion.

 

Are you saying that the deleted Note is remaining in its original Notebook?

Yes.. I am seeing the notes remain in the folder, however, after some testing, I notice that if I leave the folder and go back into the folder, the note is infact removed from teh folder - this seems to be more of a refresh issue than a delete issue.

The delay may be caused by reindexing.  Ver 6.0.6 does a lot of reindexing which affects performance and some features until the indexing is complete.

In some cases, particularly in accounts with a large number of Notes and/or Tags, it can take several days.

I deleted the Evernote trash folder (I had quite a lot old notes in there) and boom - everything works fine again. Moving or deleting notes no more an issue!
