Problem with accessing Evernote icon

Sometimes when I try to copy onto Evernote and I click on the Evernote icon, the box appears but it will not copy.

Can anyone help me please?

Is it something I am doing/not doing that is causing this?

And on which icon are you clicking,  and what are you copying from?  Are you clipping from a web browser / clipping emails / taking screenshots?

I am clicking on the evernote icon on the menu bar and usually am copying from a web site - not sure if that means I am clipping!!!

I find the web clipper toolbar icon unresponsive such that I must copy and paste.

 

Selection, or no selection, I can't clip pages, or sections, any longer.

 

I am using version 6.0.5 (451190 Direct) of the app. And as far as I can tell, the most recent version of the clipper extension.  I'm using Yosemite 10.10.2

Uninstall and reinstall the clipper?

If you right-click the content do you see any Evernote options then?
