Formatting does not apply unless highlighted

shiggins

Idea

After updating to Evernote for mac version 10.0.5, Formatting such as bolding, italicizing does not work unless I highlight the entire section and then press the appropriate key.  Say I press bold and start typing, it just appears as normal text.  This makes it difficult when I am trying to take notes quickly for class.  Is anyone else having this problem?

I can't reproduce this issue.

You say you're on 10.0.5, I assume you mean 6.0.5?

What OS version are you using?

Does the formatting button that you press turn blue?

Sorry, I did mean 6.0.5 and I am running OS version 10.7.5

The formatting button does turn blue, but then as soon as I start typing it goes back to black

I'm running Ver 6.0.3 on Mac OS X 10.9.5, and the formatting buttons do NOT turn blue when activated, either by clicking on the button, or by shortcut key regardless of whether or not I have any text selected.

I’ve reproduced this and reported it internally. It only happens on Lion.

Thanks for reporting it.

I’m not seeing this with 6.0.5 on 10.9.5.
