(Archived) Multiple web clipping buttons in Safari

I don't know what is going on.... I currently have 8 Evernote web clipping buttons in Safari in the toolbar. I can remove them and restart, but they reappear.... It is quite excessive and irritating. Looking in console, it shows Evernote: I'm in the toolbar. Evernote: The toolbar is changing. Over and over.... I have no idea what to do about this and could use some help here... ;-)

Could try clearing out your Safari preferences and seeing if the problem goes away? Several people have found this works.

The file you want to remove is ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist

There's a new pre-release build available, 1.6.1 Beta 1, which attempts to address the issue with multiple elephants appearing in the toolbar.

Please try:

Quit Evernote from the Menu Bar

Drag the Evernote application to the system Trash

Reboot your Mac

Download and install this pre-release version of the Mac client:

Any idea on what's causing all of the console messages, as mentioned above?

I just have the one button, but I get multiple console messages:

Those are internal debugging messages that we added to try to track down the problem a while ago. They can be safely ignored...

any chance we can make the messages go away? I will ignore them, but...

I think that Safari 5 gives us a better plug-in mechanism, so they should go away once we reimplement our clipper for 5.
