Babsyk 0
I am new to Evernote and trying to add text into tables but each time I do the column width grows. How do I enter text without the column changing size please? Thank you Link to comment
Level 5* CalS 5,308 Posted January 3, 2015 Level 5* Share Posted January 3, 2015 On Windows table widths are dynamic to the text that gets entered. The only way I have found to kind of fix the widths is to create a last line in the table using x's in each column to set the width. I don't do it often, only for table I use frequently and want a fixed width column for dates or the like. Interestingly it is also a way to expand the width of the table if say you set it at 50%. Don't know why, but adding x's expands the width of the table. All the x's together don't text wrap. FWIW. Link to comment
Frank.dg 1,385
I like your workaround Cal! Also, one can copy paste tables from MS Word, especially if you want filler colors and invisible borders Like so: http://www.evernote.com/l/ATRHg-I6cBBMjaRHQUMnJG_Tk4nCadYZTio/ Link to comment

Frank.dg 1,385
...And as @Gazumped pointed out in a post elsewhere… You can import a Microsoft Word document and keep it in the same note as your table (for safekeeping). Link to comment
