improving & gaining time in time

I look up to change a word in my note with the magnifying glass sign.i find the word I want to change in yellow, but when I want to correct it by pressing the PENCIL KEY.it goes all the way up to the begining of the note.why can't it stop where I found the word to be corrected ? pas. Help.
