Chances are you yourself leak your email address half a dozen times a day... voluntarily and without being conscious of it. That's why we have spam folders. Link to comment

You could be getting a message because BD knows you're not using the latest version and AV software always assumes that the latest version includes better security than older ones... Link to comment

Level 5* gazumped 11,656 Posted December 15, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted December 15, 2014 Well, all I can say is I ran BitDefender for 2 years while using Evernote daily and never saw the same message, and as @Frank.dg has already said you leak your email address every time you send an email - email protocols are not in any way secure. I don't think it's anything to worry about, but you may prefer to contact BD Support and see what they have to say about it. Link to comment
