Keyboard Shortcuts ceased working within Evernote interface

For whatever reason, my keyboard shortcuts (such as Cmd + A and other basic functions) have ceased working with Evernote! 

 

I'm using a Mac with the latest firmware, has anyone else encountered this difficulty? There must be an easy fix but I have no idea why i'm having these difficulties!

 

Also God Bless Evernote best program i ever had and i'm only exaggerating a tiny bit
