I signed up for an evernote account a year ago, but much to my dismay there was no support for android. I uninstalled the desktop app and went on with my life. No phone support means the service is useless to me.

Then, today, as I was complaining to my brother (also an Android user, as are most of my friends) about evernote's lack of support for what is now the second most popular smartphone OS, despite their support for dead-ends like Windows Mobile and Palm Pre. When looking for some information about my argument, I came across the announcement for Evernote android beta.

Within an hour I had purchased a year subscription.
