awelch 0
I recently started to create a mind map for each of my project notebooks in Evernote in order to organise the 'meta-level' information ("data about data") and relational contained in the notes. I would like to suggest that the ability to create simple mindmaps in evernote is built it. Even better if each node on the mind map refers to a note. Secondly what other ways are they apart from tags / notebooks of structuring the 'meta-level' information about things stored in evernote. Link to comment
Level 5* jefito 5,598 Posted November 30, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted November 30, 2014 Not really much of anything else (you can organize notebooks into stacks, though). Aside from that, all you get are the search filter facilities that let you query various other metadata items in notes: see https://dev.evernote.com/doc/articles/search_grammar.php Link to comment
Frank.dg 1,385
For something to tinker with, there's Mohiomap. Within Evernote, you can use the Shortcuts list to arrange your project notebooks etc into a list order of your choosing. The Reminders list is a decent one for all notes with a reminder. They get sorted by notebook and you can order your lists arbitrarily. You can create table of content notes, containing links to the individual notes within a notebook... you may take those individual links and create your own hierarchy/ outline, using bullets and indentations within a note. No big revelations there. For many, a decent nested tagging system might do the trick. Here's a post from Michael Hyatt that might be of interest. Link to comment
Wordsgood 526
Another option you might want to consider is an online application that intergates with Evernote called LiveBinders. This is a link to their site homepage:http://www.livebinders.com/welcome/home/This is a link to their page providing three plan options from Free to Pro. The free option allows up to 10 Binders:http://www.livebinders.com/welcome/upgrade/And this is a link to a blog I found where the owner has both an excellent description and a How To video:http://www.sophia.org/tutorials/creating-a-livebinder/I recently started to create a mind map for each of my project notebooks in Evernote in order to organise the 'meta-level' information ("data about data") and relational contained in the notes.
