Addison 0
My desktop client won't sync. It keeps telling me there is an "unexpected problem at the service side." What does this mean? How can I fix it? I've tried an uninstall/re-install. I am including my activity log below. Level 5* JMichaelTX 4,108 Posted November 30, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted November 30, 2014 Taking the error msg at face value, it would seem that it has nothing to do with your Evernote app, but with the Evernote Cloud Service. If the issue continues, then I would suggest that you Submit a BUG report via an EN Support Ticket. In the Support Form, select "Report a bug, crash, or data lost", and start the Ticket Title with "BUG: " to make it clear. Reporting a bug should be available to all users, including Free Account owners. My desktop client won't sync. It keeps telling me there is an "unexpected problem at the service side." hapy 4
Having the same issue on a Windows machine, my iPhone and a MacBook. Both have the latest software. I went the extra mile: Rebooted my cable modem, router and all devices. I went the extra two miles: Fired up my Verizon wireless MiFi device and connected all devices to the Internet through that. Nothing worked. Sady, Evernote has once again not updated their status page. Link to comment
MarilynE 0
Has a solution to this problem been posted? I've tried uninstalling and installing EverNote on my Windows 7 computer but still no luck. My Ipad and IPhone are syncing with no errors. Very frustrating! Update: Uninstalled EverNote again and installed it again. It worked! Link to comment

My Ipad and IPhone are syncing with no errors. Very frustrating! Finally started working after two full days. My issue was across all devices (Windows PC, MacBook, iPad and an iPhone). Evernote's response was slow and poor. The only solution they offered was to update my Mac software. I eventually did, but by then things were syncing normally again. They never did provide an explanation for what happened. Guess that's how they treat paid upgrade customers. Link to comment

Johan The reply my first support email got was a generic template. The suggestion they provided (re-install the iOS app) proved they didn't read my email since I was having issues across all platforms. I did a Twitter search and found I was not alone. Not until a number of started tweeting to Evernote and the company's Help and Status accounts did they get serious. If you're only having an issue with your Windows machine is there a way to connect to a different network with it, just to rule that out? I have a home wifi network and a Verizon wifi card, so any time I have problems I can eliminate some possible problems before I reach out to support. My bet is Evernote will tell you to uninstall and then re-download and install the software again. Link to comment
JohanLeatherworker 0
No hapy, just the one home wifi, BUT, I dug around a bit more to find this in the forum and the solution suggested worked for me: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/79111-does-not-sync/?p=333054 So I did not even uninstall and re-install the Evernote software .....
