NobleUplift 0 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 This is what Evernote looks like in the new update: http://imgur.com/SBUgzYZ I cannot edit any of my notes or see their contents. I have tried restarting Evernote multiple times, but with no change. How can I fix this?
Level 5 Stuhrer 262 Posted November 25, 2014 Level 5 Posted November 25, 2014 Please read SoftwareMarcus’s response here: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/76662-evernote-for-mac-v60-and-v601/page-10#entry325989 and possibly upgrade to V6.0.1 from the Evernote site! And for a secure removal and re-installation from 6.0 to 6.0.1 read this: https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/77444-how-to-completely-remove-and-reinstall-en-mac/ And before you do this: create a backup especially of your local notebooks!!!!!
NobleUplift 0 Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 Thank you for the link to SoftwareMarcus's post Stuhrer! There's no way I would have found that searching (which I did, and I couldn't find an issue quite like this one). I restarted my computer and Evernote is working again.
Level 5 Stuhrer 262 Posted November 26, 2014 Level 5 Posted November 26, 2014 You are welcome. I am glad I could help. It is indeed difficult to find solutions for problems among those many complaints recently. The forum search unfortunately is very bad. And many posts are not in the correct sub-forum or category. I wish Evernote would create a note pinned to the top of the Evernote forum summarizing the recent Mac V6-problems and possible solutions as SoftwareMarcus has done in the note deeply burried in a thread of >300 posts. I have been browsing the forum for the last days and created a note in Evernote containing the text I posted here. In that way I can easily copy and paste it and add this to other posts as well. Let's just hope the problems with V6 are resolved soon and I think they will at least the bugs if not the new look. I am lucky. I registered to the beta channel so I have migrated to the current version in smaller steps. I did not encounter these severe problems and I am aware of the risk I take by that and I am backing up my notes frequently. Regards from Bremen in Germany.
NobleUplift 0 Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 I am now on the App Store's version of Evernote 6.0.3, but I still have this bug!!! Is there another beta out? I might upgrade to it if they know this is still an issue.
