Can't select text in 6.0.1

I have some notes that have objects pasted in them.  They are text but they are still objects.  I used to be able to select text within the object.  Now I can't.  Just clicking anywhere in the object selects the whole object.  The notes are somewhat useless now.

I am glad you posted this…i am having the same issue.

 

I upgraded Evernote (6.0 ----Mac user with Mountain Lion) yesterday.

 

The first thing I noticed was that the entire note selects (as if "Select all" in the menu bar has been selected). I am no longer able to select text within the note to copy and paste. I can only place a cursor to delete one character at a time using my delete key.  

 

What is the point of EVERNOTE if I can't select text within a note?

What do you mean by 'objects'?

From where did you paste the content?

 

I would export the notes to HTML or evenr better ENEX and inspect the result. This provides more information how the 'objects' were stored by Evernote.

The content was originally received in an email.  It's an HTML email.  I forwarded that email to Evernote.
