Blessed1 0 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I am so annoyed that up on opening Evernotethe there is no option to automatically open a text document or just view your list of notes. I prefer the way it was. I feel like I'm clicking too many times. I want a new text note to open automatically.

In both EN Win and EN Mac, there is a global shortcut key to open a new note in a new window.
Frank.dg 1,385 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I want a new text note to open automatically. It sounds like the new Beta web client is just up your alley. That's exactly what it does the moment you bring the page upIf you're in a notebook context (or elsewhere)... then you just need to click in the big + icon in the left panel to create a new text note(Then again, you might just be irked by the new web client itself - in which case the web Beta is a double-edged sword for you) If you're on mobile - say, iOS, you can tap the "Text" icon on the home screen to go right into a new note... otherwise in the notification center in "Today" view, you have the same shortcut (quick note creation) icons as in the app itself. I'm sure Android has some similar shortcut. On Windows desktop - Ctrl + N to open up a new note in whatever notebook context you're in at the time.
Candid 167 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 On Android, I'd go with a widget, that you can tap what kind of note you want to create and enter into that directly.
