Can't connect to server please try later?

hi, 

I having a problem using evernote on both my laptop running window xp and vista they both come up with "Can't connect to server please try later? this has been ongoing for the last month, if I go to evernote on my web page I can connect all ok with no problem, is there a problem with the evernote software? I have removed the software and reinstalled it but the same thing happens. It works fine on my evernote ipad / Iphone version>. can anyone help?.

My wifi is working fine and I can connect to the internet with no problem, so why is it coming up with Can't connect to server ?.

Evernote made some changes to improve security that may have affected you.

One important thing to do,  whether or not you use Internet Explorer to browse;  go to

• Internet Explorer > Settings > Internet Options > Advanced.
• scroll down to Security
• Check "Use TLS 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2".  and UNcheck any SSL boxes.

Then retry syncing.

Hi, Thank you for the info, I did as you said and both laptops are now working fine with evernote. much appreciated
