(Archived) Web clipper for explorer without downloading software?

Hi--

I am not allowed to download Evernote onto my office pc for security reasons, and we are also only allowed to use Explorer as a web browser. I want to know if there is anyway I can add a webclipper to Explorer without downloading the whole software package?

I love Evernote and want to keep using it!

Try the bookmarklet; it's just a bookmark, as opposed to an extension. You should be able to find it on the downloads page.

Right-click on the "Drag this to your link bar" here: http://www.evernote.com/about/download/web_clipper.php

And add that to your "Links" bookmark section in IE so it will show up in the LInks bar there.

On the other hand, most people find that it's preferable to have the local client installed once you get above a handful of notes, since searching and browsing is much faster.

When I right-click on the drag this to your link bar, IE treats my right-click as if I'm choosing the button image, i.e. if I look at the properties it shows "http://www.evernote.com/about/media/img/clipper_bookmarklet.gif". Any idea how to do this right?

I just figured it out. The answer is select "Add to Favourites". DOH!
