gregs6054 0
I have been using Evernote to capture various HR items for a while and would like to be able to report on them. I use Tableau since it's flexible and visual, plus it can connect to a lot of different database types. Any ideas how I might connect to Evernote? Thanks! Link to comment
ScottLougheed 1,316
I don't believe Tableau has taken advantage of Evernote's API, so there isn't likely an automated way to do this because of that.Evernote also doesn't do any arithmetic or calculations, or really any data processing. Scanned documents are not actionable or parsable in any automatic way either. So if you have payroll summaries scanned in for a given employee, Evernote cannot understand that the number at the bottom of the document reflects the sum total of payments to the employee. Any reporting you want to do will require you to create the dataset yourself. At least all of your scans are conveniently located and searchable within Evernote! But manually entering these data into excel or a csv file will be a pain in the butt, no doubt. Link to comment

You didn't state which platform (PC/Mac) you're using, but if you have access to a Mac, you might be able to use AppleScript to pull data from Evernote to process and/or export to other systems/apps.
