Something got deleted and now it's all messed up..

I  had a to-do list I  spent a lot of time on and somehow it got deleted. But then after hours I finally found the trash. Then I found the note and it was an old one, not the one I was looking for. This has really screwed me up. I didn't do anything. My pc says there conflicting modifications and I don't know what this means. I'm so pissed. Why would those idiots make it so hard to find the trash anyway?

If you have conflicting changes you should also have a notebook called exactly that.  The notes in there will be copies of earlier edits to another note still in your notebooks somewhere.  Find both (all) copies of the note,  and save the best version as the original.  Delete the others and empty the conflicting changes notebook.  Somewhere in there you may find a better version of your to do list...

I'm not sure if EN Win and EN Mac are the same here.

 

I have had conflicting changes APPENDED to the same Note, with NO "Conflicting Changes" Notebook.

If it's a long Note, you may not notice the other versions at the bottom of your Note.
