It's possible to upgrade to Premium from free, buy extra upload space and purchase items from Evernote Market, so Evernote needs to make allowances for users wishing to do so. There's no way AFAIK to opt out of this or any other individual permissions - refuse permission and the app just won't install. Link to comment
