(Archived) Using Evernote Local Notebook without an account?

Is it possible to use Evernote without an account? I only need notes saved locally and do not want an account associated to them.

I think this is not possible. But you can store your notes in a local notebook, so they will never go to Evernote Servers.

And, since you'll be using a great application for free (local use only), it appears to me that registering an account is a very small price to pay. What are your concerns?

You can disable synchronization after you create an account, but you need to spend 60 seconds creating an initial account before you start using the local-only notebooks.
