I love the new look of Evernote for Android, but I have one small change to suggest. I think a sync button should be visible in every document, right beside the edit button. That way, one can syn before editing to reduce the risk of conflicting edits. Alternatively, there could be a setting to automatically sync before and after editing.

This proposal is particularly helpful for those who use shortcuts and, thus,, don't navigate past sync buttons on their way to the document.

I think that you will find:

1: that a note syncs when you tap on it to view it (that's the thin green bar across the top)

2: that there's a sync operation available from the menu when a note is being viewed

 

Once you're editing, sync is not available, but editing triggers a note lock operation that should warn you if you try to edit the same note on a different device. All of this more or less implies that you have internet connectivity across the board.
