Jazzi 0
I lost my notes when I used chinese characters. How do others save notes when they want to use it in a non-western language? Link to comment
Jazzi 0
Hi thank you for the reply. I was able to type and save the characters sometimes, but other times attached error message showed up. I am not sure if it caused my content to disappear because it did not happen right away. Please see attached file for the error message I received. If there are any setting I need to be aware of, can you let me know? Thank you! Link to comment
Level 5* GrumpyMonkey 4,316 Posted October 25, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted October 25, 2014 Sorry. That's not an error message I have seen before. I didn't even know it existed. As I reported here (https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/29148-tip-bug-report-utf-16-and-utf-8-encoding-for-text-files/), Evernote is in UTF-8, so it does have problems importing text files in the UTF-16 format, but this is the first I have seen of someone typing and running into an issue. Please report it as a bug. I think the developers will want to know about this and get it solved quickly. Link to comment

I created a ticket for you, but I don't know if it will work, because you might be a Free member and ineligible for support. I'll flag your post for the staff to see. Link to comment
Level 5* GrumpyMonkey 4,316 Posted October 24, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted October 24, 2014 No problems for me with Japanese, Chinese, or Korean. And, Asia is one of Evernote's biggest markets, so they are a rare company devoting a lot of thought to getting the service right for these languages. If you could be more specific about the behavior you are seeing, we might be able to track the problem down. Certainly, if there is a CJK problem, we ought to get it fixed ASAP. Link to comment
