Ronald Law 0
me too. My Evernote installed on Android, iOS and windows all showed sync errors messages Is it because of Evernote server problems? Link to comment
bobh93 0
I haven't been able to sync for a week. They say they're doing maintenance tonight Link to comment
davidTheIcedCoffeeAddict 0
I haven't been able to sync for two days; I'm running EN Version 5.6.2 on iOS 10.10 (iMac). Actually, I wasn't able to send email either on my iPad2 or Droid KitKat. I really do need to synch this stuff up with my other devices. It's pretty important. Link to comment
sodala 0
Can't sync on my iPad here in Germany either. Seems to work on Android. I can't find a post on the Evernote tech blog that there's maintenance going on. Link to comment
Trilln451 6
I upgraded to the latest version on my Vista laptop Monday, had to re-boot, after that couldn't sync. "Can't connect to server" Also not recognizing my password, which I guess is due to not connecting. This version works fin on my XP machine. I've uninstalled, installed an earlier version, rolled my system back, done a COMPLETE uninstall followed by registry cleanup. It's too late at night to keep going; tomorrow I'll try installing again. Link to comment
Martin Christie 0
Same message on my PC - can't connect to server. Fine on Android. Have also uninstalled (losing some work) and have installed new. Cannot sign in, however, as ... can't connect to server. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,042 Posted October 23, 2014 Level 5* Share Posted October 23, 2014 Great. Multiple users, multiple OS's and probably tons of different reasons for not syncing. OK class: tick these off if you've done 'em.Check in with Evernote https://evernote.com/contact/support/ to confirm there's no server issue. Switched devices off and back on - just in case. Log in via Evernote.com to see whether those notes are up to date. (You know that all devices sync to and from the cloud and not to each other, right?). Confirm which device isn't syncing if I have more than one. Check the Activity Log (desktops only - under Help) to see whether there's a visible problem. Save the logs for support. Emptied all the Trash Notebooks you can find on all devices and sorted out any Conflicting Changes Notebook entries. Disable SSL3 in Internet Options (Windows XP and 7 Only). https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/101867943 Uninstalled and reinstalled Evernote. https://evernote.com/contact/support/kb/#!/article/24422932 Raised a support request (see below) and received a ticket number. Use CHAT if it's available and you're a premium user. Backed up and renamed your Evernote Database folder (Windows only) AFTER exporting any unsynced notes and Local Notebooks to ENEX files (one per notebook). If you need any more help with any of that, please start your own thread and be sure to say whether you're using Windows / Mac / Android and which - desktop, web or mobile. Good luck! Link to comment

Good luck! Thanks, yes, problem was the security settings. For others who come here, from gazumped:"Evernote made some changes to improve security. Details here https://evernote.com...ticle/101867943 (there were also emails)One important thing to do, whether or not you use Internet Explorer to browse; go toInternet Explorer > Settings > Internet Options > Advanced. >> You can also get to these settings thru Control Panelscroll down to SecurityCheck "Use TLS 1.0 / 1.1 / 1.2". and UNcheck any SSL boxes. Then retry syncing." But, given the multiple uses on multiple platforms, I'd guess the problem is most likely with Evernote. If they haven't gotten it yet, this should be a wakeup call for Evernote to do a serious investigation of sync across the board.
